I got a half dozen box which I would recommend if you like this pastry since one is never enough. The filling was perfectly sweet and custardy. “ Well, we originally came in to buy 2 egg tarts. We just wanted a light snack since I was expecting to eat a lot during this specific weekend...but I can't say no to value. Their pasteis de nata was $5 each, or half a dozen for $15. Welp if we're already paying $10 for 2 then why not add 4 more to make it $15 total? Anyways, I thought it was a great choice. We did have to give 3 egg tarts out because we couldn't finish it, but it still made me happy. The cashier even gave us a Queijada De Nata to try! I didn't know what Queijada De Nata was before since I've only came across pasteis de nata (even when I was in Portugal...but maybe that's because I was only in Lisbon for a short layover), so it was very nice of them to offer us one on the house! It was surprise - they didn't even try upselling it to us. We loved our pastel de nata. It was perfect. Their version doesn't have the powdered sugar/cinnamon though. As for the queijada de nata, it was also very good. I personally like the pastel de nata more though because the queijada de nata was slightly too sweet/rich/creamy (as they are supposed to be) for me. ”

“ It's a small shop and they have a display of desserts available. They had music playing in the background and it seemed very cozy and intimate. This friendly guy, who I assume is the owner, came out from behind the wall and helped me out. I decided to get half a dozen of the Portuguese egg tarts (Pastel De Nata) and 1 almond pastry. He threw in an original egg tart (Queijada De Nata) for free which was very sweet. Food Consensus: Visually, the egg tarts are beautiful! The Portuguese egg tart had a great crispy and flaky crust and the egg filling was light and delicious. The original egg tart had a softer, more dense crust with the egg filling and what I think is caramel. Personally, I thought both were v delicious but my favorite one was the original egg tart. I think that I like the original more because I am a big fan of caramel. My dad gave the Portuguese egg tart a 9 out of 10 and said he would buy them again. Both of these egg tarts are great options and I think they would be a great pastry to bring to a party or gathering. Definitely check them out if you're in the fountain Valley area. One thing that I did notice was that there's no sign of prices or dessert options. I later came to Yelp and saw that the owner said they're working on it. If they get that sign, it would be helpful to first timers like myself. ”

“ I'm so happy to see a portuguese bakery open in Fountain Valley! I loved the pastel de nata which are portuguese egg tarts. We came around 3pm and were lucky to get a fresh warm batch! I got a half a dozen for my family but wish I bought more. We enjoyed taking it home and sprinkling it with cinnamon. They were sold out of the ham and cheese pastries but my siblings enjoyed the almond pastry and the bacalhau pastry which is savory and made from codfish. The shop is small with very sweet owners. They let me know that they recently relocated from Artesia and are enjoying the new Fountain Valley location. They also give you one free pastry if you pay with cash and purchase over 25 or more which is a great deal! ”
